Our Story
Founded on May 1st, 2014, the Young Muslim Academy was born from the vision of three passionate women who shared a deep desire to make a meaningful contribution to the Muslim community. Their common goal was to create a nurturing and joyful path to Islam, establishing a positive and happy space where young Muslim children could learn and nurture their love for Islam.
Our journey began humbly, with just one classroom, six girls, and one teacher. But with the blessings of Allah (Alhamdulillah) and the unwavering support of dedicated individuals, our Academy has flourished and grown in remarkable ways. Over time, we expanded our offerings, improved our educational programs, and hosted various community events, including Academy iftars (fast-breaking meals) and charitable initiatives during the blessed month of Ramadan.
In 2019, we embarked on an exciting new chapter by introducing new educational opportunities for both adult and youth. This expansion prompted a name change, and thus, the Young Muslim Academy became the Cambridge Muslim Academy, symbolizing our broader reach and diverse student body.
