Children’s School Contract

  • The registration fee of £25 per child per school year must be paid in full before any application form is submitted. This fee will be used to pay the administrator who will receive and process the application forms.  This registration fee is non-refundable.
  • The fees for the first month of the this academic year must be paid in full along with the first month’s fees at the time of submitting the application form. Following this, the fees for each month must be paid at the beginning of each month. For example, if the autumn term starts on 12 September, the next monthly fee is due by 12 October. A sibling discount of 10% applies to these fees.
  • Fees can be paid on a termly basis (every three months) for those parents who prefer to pay in this way, however the registration fee is still applicable in this case.
  • If a child is absent from school, the monthly fee must still be paid in full.
  • Non attendance: If a child is absent from school, any fees paid on a termly basis will be refunded in agreement with the Head Teacher less fees for sessions attended and a 10% administrative fee will apply.
  • If you plan (children or adults) to take a break from school during term time due to a holiday or other commitments, a formal written notice must be submitted to Mrs HanadiKerdasi at least one month before the planned break. Failure to do so will result in the full fees being charged for the period of non attendance.
  • The registration fee and one month’s fees in advance must also be paid with applications made to the school during the school year.
  • Due to the Covid Pandemic, classes will still run virtually on both Tuesdays for Islamic Studies and Arabic Language lessons and Fridays for Qur’an sessions until further notice.
  • During Ramadan the school will only be open on Saturdays. All lessons will run on the same day instead of Tuesdays and Fridays. The monthly fees will still be applicable regardless of whether the student attends or not, unless a break has been agreed at least one month in advance with Mrs HanadiKerdasi and a written note requesting the break has been submitted (see previous paragraph).
  • If a child misses a session they are not automatically entitled to attend another session in the same week. This must be agreed in advance with Mrs HanadiKerdasi and a compelling reason given (e.g. illness, a doctor’s appointment, a family emergency etc). This paragraph is applicable for face to face school.
  • It is crucial that a good level of attendance is maintained in order for the student to learn effectively and progress with their learning.
  • Punctuality: Parent/carers are responsible for ensuring that their child/children attend school and are punctual in order that they do not miss any information and disturb the class. This paragraph is applicable to face to face school.
  • Homework and Quran practice must be completed each week.
  • Children must bring any text books and exercise books they need to school each time they attend. This paragraph is applicable for face to face school.
  • Course text books can be purchased from Mrs HanadiKerdasi. The Arabic book is priced at £15 per copy. The Islamic Studies book price is T.B.C
  • Respect for others is essential and we encourage everybody at the school to show respect to everybody else. Children should show suitable respect and politeness towards all teachers, teaching assistants and adults at the school.
  • The Cambridge Muslim Academy’s policy on misbehaviour will be applied fairly in respect of all children who break the rules by misbehaving.
  • Children must not cause damage to any part of the Spinney School or its contents and parents/carers will be required to pay for any damage caused by their children. Children should be reminded not to interfere with any items at the Spinney School that are not related to the Young Muslim Academy. We appreciate your help and co-operation with this. This paragraph is applicable to face to face school.
