Course Title: Al-Muqadimah Al-Jazariyyah 

Course Overview: The Al-Muqadimah Al-Jazariyyah Course is an intensive and specialized program designed to explore and master the intricacies of Tajweed rules as presented in the classical text “Al-Muqadimah Al-Jazariyyah” by the scholar Mohammad Ibn Al-Jazary. This course is tailored for students who are passionate about perfecting their Quranic recitation and are aiming to obtain an Ijazah, a certification of proficiency, in Quranic recitation.

Course Duration: September to July (Once a week)

Course Objectives:

Thoroughly study and understand “Al-Muqadimah Al-Jazariyyah” and its significance in Tajweed studies.

Explore the comprehensive Tajweed rules, their exceptions, and the art of Quranic recitation.

Prepare students to attain Ijazah in Quranic recitation, be it in reading or memorisation.

Offer dedicated support for students interested in memorizing the text. Develop students’ ability to apply advanced Tajweed rules to recite the Quran with precision and excellence.

Course Outlines:

Module 1: Introduction to “Al-Muqadimah Al-Jazariyyah” Understanding the historical importance of the text. Overview of the structure and content of the poem. The significance of Tajweed in Quranic recitation.

Module 2: Basics of Tajweed and Quranic Pronunciation Review of fundamental Tajweed principles. Exercises in correct Quranic pronunciation. Importance of articulation and pronunciation.

Module 3: In-Depth Study of “Al-Muqadimmah Al-Jazariyyah” (Part 1) Detailed analysis of the first section of the text. Exploration of Tajweed rules and exceptions. In-class discussions and clarifications.

Module 4: In-Depth Study of “Al-Muqadimah Al-Jazariyyah” (Part 2) Continuation of the analysis of the text. Advanced Tajweed rules and their practical application. Interactive sessions for in-depth understanding.
